Funeral Ceremonies
Sid Bridges is our qualified Celebrant specialising in Funeral Ceremonies, he has many years experience creating and conducting unique ceremonies and caring for families and individuals during times of bereavement, isolation and loss. Sid has also been a volunteer member of the Spiritual Care Team at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall in Peterborough and has a background in Engineering, Youth Work and Church Leadership.
We recognise that the circumstances surrounding a funeral will be different for everyone and that the needs of each individual and family are unique. Death can be a time of deep sadness and sorrow, with feelings of devastation, confusion and loss yet there is often the desire to celebrate a life well lived. We value the importance of acknowledging all the feelings that death evokes and we are committed to journeying with you through this season.
In practical terms you can contact Sid directly via email, by telephone or through your chosen Funeral Director (please request Sid by name). Sid will then arrange to meet with you and other family members as you require, to prepare a ceremony that reflects your needs and wishes.
There is also the offer of a follow-up meeting after the funeral for anyone who would appreciate continued support.
Sid is also happy to meet with individuals nearing the end of life who would like to talk through the feelings this provokes and the hopes they have for their loved ones.
